  A few years back I had a friend with a terminal condition who knew she was going to die. She worked with the preacher at this church to plan her own funeral. Being a not very religious person and having many not religious friends she planned for something that was more of a celebration of life than a sermon. That request was granted and her friend MCed the ceremony. Then the preacher started up ramming his religion down everyone's throats. It was VERY distasteful. It was like some kind of sick sales pitch. I was there to remember my friend, not to be preached to. I understand this is a church and I understand that the preacher thought it was his place to convert the heathens but that bastard made me furious. It was all I could do not to punch him right in his mouth. Shame on you! You don't use someone death as a sales tool!

  I have been a member of this congregation for many years. We are now with a new pastor and I am so excited for our congregation. She is young and full of great ideas with a savvy interpretation of our world today with Christ in our lives. We are a Reconciling in Christ Church and welcome all who pass through our doors. We give holy communion every Sunday. Come check us out!
